From the green suburbs of Maghull travel through farmland and open countryside, under 2 motorways and alongside the world famous Aintree Racecourse.

The nearest railway station at the southern end of the route is at Old Roan, the northern end starts in Green Lane, however, the nearest railway station is at Maghull and this would shorten the route a little.
