Ainsdale National Nature Reserve

Starting in Crossens and ending at the Crosby Lakeside Adventure Center the route boasts some wonderful views of our coastline.  Walking through the sand dunes, the Ainsdale National Nature Reserve, Formby Point (home of the red squirrels) and on towards Another Place (alternatively known as the Iron Men), the ever changing scenery can be dramatic at times.

The easiest way to get to the start of this route is by bus. For the latest bus details, see the Traveline website.

And remember, you don't have to do this route all at once, as it's easily served by both bus and train, so you can hop on and off at different sections as suits your ability.
