The Cheshire Lines path

Forming part of the Trans Pennine Trail (TPT), this 346km multi-user route runs from Southport to Hornsea.  The Sefton Section runs from Southport to Aintree, making a distance of approximately 23km.  View details of the The Cheshire Lines Path route.

As this route is multi user, please be aware that you may encounter cyclists or horse riders along the way.

On the middle section of the route, the path is in West Lancashire and you will be treated to some stunning vistas over the Lancashire Mosslands before coming back into Sefton.  You leave Sefton and enter Liverpool just by Aintree Racecourse.
