Two more circular routes (the red route and the green route) starting and finishing the Bootle Arms in Melling complete this set of walks showcasing the Public Rights of Way Network and wonderful countryside in the area. The scenery changes with the seasons, as can be seen in the photography you may be walking through an arable crop, or in the winter it may be a field of grass.
The first route in this series starts and finishes at Maghull railway station, but other 2 routes in Melling are accessed by the Arriva 345 bus which is about a 10 minute walk from the Bootle Arms, or the Stagecoach 133 stops right outside the Bootle Arms.
