This secluded, hideaway site, is set within 2 acres of mature gardens and woodland, including a woodland walk and an area for dog walking. There is plenty of room for picnics and barbeques. In the next field lies a biological heritage site with its wealth of wildlife. Bird watching is a major attraction of the area.

Animals graze on 17 acres of the farm, it is an SSSI site where there are many different wildflowers and grasses that grow in the hay meadows, so it is a haven for wildflowers.

Free range eggs are available and you can pick your own fruit in season. Campers are welcome to look around the gardens, and the plant nursery where plants are for sale.

Preston is the nearest city which is 9 miles away, Southport is nearer at 7 miles away, being a classic seaside resort offering shows, cycle hire and events throughout the year.

Hesketh bank itself has its own boat yard where a public footpath runs alongside the canal. There are many footpaths in the area making it a walkers paradise.

The site is open all year and booking is advisable.

The nearest train stations are Croston or Rufford on the Liverpool to Preston line and Southport on the Merseyrail Northern Line.
