Landsdowne Camping is a campsite close to the Lancashire resort of Southport and the City of Preston.
It is a 1½ acre level grass site with easy access, mains electricity and hard standings if required. All kinds of units are welcome - tents, caravans and motor caravans.
This is an ideal location for walkers, cyclists, and bird watchers, being close to the RSPB's reserves at Marshside & Hesketh Out Marsh on the Ribble Estuary. Follow any of the paths opposite the property to access RSPB’s newest reserve at Hesketh Out Marsh.
There is a large Rally field available with room for up to 50 units and home grown produce is available depending on the season.
There is also a 2½ acre fishing lake for use by campers for a small charge. The lake can also be used with your own small boat or canoe, however, life jackets are required.
How to Get Here: There is a frequent bus service, No.2, to Southport (left) and Preston (right). The hourly service stops nearby at Hundred End Lane. A bus to nearby Ormskirk runs on market day, Thursday.
The nearest train stations are Croston or Rufford on the Liverpool to Preston line.
