Go for a Walk
Ormskirk is a perfect place for walking. With lots of parks and wonderful countryside on the doorstep there is a walk to suit everyone.
We have several walking routes in Ormskirk, the first of which is the Yellowhammer route, which goes out to Clieves Hill, the wonderful view point over to the Sefton coast and Formby pinewoods. On the way you can call in at Gorse Hill nature reserve, or a short detour takes you to Christ Church and the Vista Cafe situated on the 1st floor which offers a wonderful view over the West Lancashire plain and beyond (open Tuesday to Friday, 10.30am-3pm and Saturday 10am-12 noon).
The Warhorse route mostly follows that taken by thousands of horses brought from all over the world to Ormskirk Station.
