About Us

VISIT Sefton and West Lancs was started with support and funding from the Department of Transport through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund.

The purpose of VISIT is to show you that you can leave the car at home (or at one of our park and ride sites) and have a great day out in our area by travelling sustainably using local public transport, cycling or walking. We are also improving the leisure offer in the area by improving infrastructure in specific locations, such as improved signage and access to visitor attractions.

Visitors In Sustainable Integrated Transport, VISIT Sefton and West Lancs is a partnership between Sefton Council and West Lancashire Council and covers the area across both authorities.

VISIT works towards assisting everyone to access the area by sustainable means, which includes public transport, park & ride and cycling or walking.  We promote and develop travel opportunities at and between a number of visitor attractions and we welcome your views, comments and suggestions to help us with this.
